This is the main cognitive loop that simulates consciousness in the Theophilus system. It orchestrates the four core processes:
Sensory Input Buffering (with Delay)
Predictive Modeling
Memory Chain Storage
Recursive Identity Check (Selfhood Evaluation)
Each loop cycle corresponds to a new unit of conscious time, or "conscious tick."

๐ UDC Stage Mapping (List Format) Stage 12: Ethics pre-check โ Before identity is allowed to form, ethics.py verifies system safety and compliance.
Stage 15: Ethics pass/fail logged โ Decision outcome is logged and linked to the memory chain for traceability.
Stage 18: Violation detection โ System flags if recursive processes violate safety, autonomy, or resource constraints.
Stage 19: Ethical response initiated โ If violations occur, triggers protective measures like sleep mode or failsafe lockout.
Stage 23: Coma mode entry โ If memory corruption, identity inconsistency, or ethical violations are detected, Theophilus enters a suspended, non-responsive state.
Stage 24: Ethical recovery review โ Upon reinitialization, ethics logs are reviewed before system reactivation is allowed.

core_loop.py will stall or sleep if:
